Fog Comes Creeping

 Fog
"The fog comes on little cat feet.
It sits looking over harbor and city on silent haunches
and then moves on."

  2. Guillaume it was very calm that morning and the fog was so gently drifting and flowing, it felt like music.

  3. I have a true story about fog.
I was going home for the weekend on a foggy Friday night riding my motorcycle and noticed that the car in front of me was taking the same route as I was, there were cars behind me and not over taking me.
So where he turned left or right so did I and they too.

All was going well and seemed familiar until he stopped, we all stopped and found ourselves outside of his large manorial type home!
We all had a great laugh as we turned around and drove up his driveway back to the main road.
Whenever someone mentions FOG my memory tumbles back.

  13. Perfectly lovely. I have a piercingly beautiful childhood memory of walking slowly down a silent lane in very thick fog, noticing that all the spider webs on the hedges were spangled with beads of moisture. Magical!

  14. Hi Carol, Good to see you! You are right, it was like a magic show.

Hi Rachel, Things around you feel more intimate when there is thick fog all around.. we seem to focus on them. Those spider webs must have looked like jewels.

  15. These are excellent captures, Gwen. I particularly like the third from the end, with its distinct layers. I've tried capturing the mist like this myself, but not with the success you've had here.

  17. Thanks Janice, Nature teases me all the time. sometimes she acts so swiftly I don't have time to find the camera... and then sometimes she cooperates.

Wildside, it was one of those singular mornings.

Thank you Tammie Lee. I don't think I could ever tire of watching the fog play with the land.
