... wonderful tool for self portraiture.
I like the simplicity of Line drawings..
... attempting to describe Foreshortening, Contour, Outline..
... chewed fingernails are a bad habit...
"To see a World in a grain of sand,
And hold Heaven in a wild flower,
To hold Infinity in the Palm of your HAND,
And Eternity in an Hour"
from Auguries of Innocence,1... by William Blake, 1757 - 1827
7" x 9" line drawing, micron pen, 65 lb. Canson Universal recycled acid free paper
oh, i so love this. The simple, naked lines... the quote by William Blake. I appreciate your intelligence as much as i do your talent. Thank you for sharing. So glad we met... :-) xoxo
ReplyDeleteThe lines in the drawing carry mystery and power. You see into the heart of everything and pull that out for us to see.
ReplyDeleteThat is an unusual pose. Foreshortening is difficult to do and possibly most artists avoid it for this reason. Your lines are beautiful and the composition on paper is perfect.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quote, lovely drawing.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful drawing an illustration of such wonderful simplicity
ReplyDeleteNice drawing! Hands are very difficult to draw.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful simplicity... and great foreshortening! :o) I've always loved that quote by Blake...Eternity in an Hour...*swoon*...
ReplyDeleteThank you all,... It is amazing what lives in each and everyone of your minds... and most often our hands have a part in bringing it to the world.. cheers
ReplyDeleteThe posture and drawing are so wonderful! Combined with one of my favorite quotes, it is resplendent, transcendent. Together in a poster would be brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThank you my dear Ruth... William Blake was a many splendored man, and as the norm goes, was not appreciated as he should have been in his lifetime..
