Photos taken along the Bay of Fundy Coast, on the ocean floor and/or with full tide,
at St. Martins, Duck Pond Road, Gardener Creek, and Tynemouth Creek...
It's all about the Nature of the Place.
It's all about the Beauty. New Brunswick, Canada
Wonderful photo's that have captured my imagination and I can see why you are so fond of the area.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much publishing them.
Oh, that's why...
ReplyDeleteYou're Very welcome guys... but you knew that's why, already, didn't you?
ReplyDeleteAnd beautiful it IS!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Gwen!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place!
ReplyDeleteLooks like some of the same reasons I love Maine, though in a rougher, higher-cliffed more pronounced way. Love that the covered bridge has a pedestrian walkway through it! Happy collection of dogs, sweet.
Just lit a fire in the jotul - rainy, cool and cozy eve.
Hi Linda, perhaps you will find your way to the shore again next year.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sara, nice to see your face! Hope all's well. xo
Hi Valerianna, the air actually felt like fall for the first time today, but we haven't lit the woodstoves yet.. Still keeping the windows open.
A little piece of heaven.
ReplyDeleteYou are sooo lucky my dear ... to have this gem of a place as your home. Photos are awesome & totally convey why this is your heaven. I'm so jealous!
ReplyDeleteHugs ... Marie
What an amazing place.. Thanks for sharing the photo's Gwen, so lovely to see what the rest of the world is like.. So many wondrous places.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness that we live in this age of technology as I would never have seen your Bay of Fundy.. It looks very open to the ocean, I bet that you have amazing storms? Perhaps you have some photo's tucked away somewhere.. I'd love to see those too..
I live in Essex, along the River Colne, we are protected from the North Sea storms..Great in many ways, sad because I don't get to see any.. I love wild weather..
Have a good weekend.. ~ Julie.
one image reminded me that treasure number 49 on the Map of Treasures in Rebecca Solnits wonderful book Infinite City is....FOG.
ReplyDeleteRobyn, I show too many pictures of this amazing beauty but I am under it's Spell.
ReplyDeleteMarie, There is enough wide open space for everyone to think without their minds getting clogged.
Julie, I love sharing these places.. We have a storm upon us today, gray, blustery, rain. xoxo
India, The foggy days are to die for .. and they are all different...
This is early one morning when fog blanketed the harbor... http://gwenbuchanan.blogspot.ca/2012/07/foggy-day-in-st-martins.html

ReplyDelete...wow, no, I never knew you grew up in NB.. Sackville is so picturesque.
I should have taken fresh water to the shore for the dogs ...they got so thirsty and there was only salt water.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful photographs of your world, Gwen. I love the scattered houses, the water's colour, the beach walking and the church steeple. Very thoughtful and quiet.
ReplyDeleteroxanne
Roxanne, yes these are quiet aren't they.. I hadn't particularly tried for that but I tend to stay away from places where there are crowds.
ReplyDeleteI always go to the quiet places.
