She

I pause along the shore in October...
by a Sea that has taken its toll.

She lies calm now... pacified by the Heavens.

  1. Wow. Is that your morning walk? What a stunning view. The line by Yeats is perfect, isn't it. Nature in all it's forms is so relentless and beautiful.

  5. Gwen, that last qute brought part of an old hit son to mind, "water can raise the temperature,
water can kill and water can cure", and without if we would be nowhere at all.

  7. That about sums up the yin and yang of life. I've been talking with a Taoist friend, and I see myself always looking for this balance in those conversations. The tide at your bay, and the storms and then calm - you live with it every day. So beautiful.

  9. Hi all... after all the changeable weather we had this year, a calm moment seemed very special... She was putting on a good face and wanting us all to forgive her raging times...

I like to walk here as often as possible..every day if I can... of course the dogs love to tag along, and it feels good when they do...... the tourists are mostly gone now so most often we have the whole place to ourselves..

I know I show pictures of this Bay very often but even then it still feels not enough to really tell you about her..

    She is a Mystery...

What a lovely place to spend time each day. I love moments of peace between storms.

  11. shall we forever Yield to the poets of old, to Yeats? or simply find a way to say what rises in our own response
    to mystery
    beauty, etc...

mansuetude, I feel some quotes never lose their significance...

no matter the age of the poet or the era in which they were written

Robyn, that is lovely to hear.... as a matter of fact, the clouds were what initially stopped me ...

they seemed to be vying for power with the ocean, then the meaning changed and they seemed to be comforting her with gentle caresses.

  16. oh I am glad about that,Ruth... she shows me so many faces...

she is like a child that always wants attention... saying things like, "look", "see me", "I can do this", "look at me now"..

    there is no ignoring her...

  17. She Is
    stunning...
that's what i meant to say.

Owner of the rhythms of the Bard in all things; Yeats would agree with that!

Calling, always calling us back in, deep to the mystery, every changing.

*(I think she is also in my DNA... sea seers.)

    Thank you (again)so much.
