Quote by C. Vann Woodward

"The history of intellectual growth and discovery clearly demonstrates the need for unfettered freedom... the right to think the unthinkable... discuss the unmentionable, and challenge the unchallengeable...

To curtail free expression, strikes twice at intellectual freedom... for whoever deprives another of the right to state unpopular views... necessarily deprives others of the right to listen to those views."

C. Vann Woodward, American, 1908-1999... Pulitzer Prize winning Historian, of the American South

from a little art and quotes book I created a few years ago...

Hmmm... Sounds like an unschooler to me. Wonderful! Thanks Gwen, we homeschooling mom's need a boost of YES! this why we homeschool every now and then.
Now I'm sure this quote could mean something very different to someone else. But as I was reading it I was shouting YES!

Hey great perspective to take, Anet, YES!!!
I never even thought of it in that way... but exactly!
I guess I just want freedom in every particle of my life... YES!!!

.....

Jazz, I don't think anything could hold you back...

I really like it when you show us pages from this book. We get to read stellar quotes, and see the beauty of your unique skills and imagination.

It's a very good point Woodward makes. The ripple effects of what we do and say. Even silence has effects.

Thanks Bill, I can't wait to see more experiences of your recent workshop!!

You are right Ruth, Silence often speaks louder than words...

Life is just a big scale, always measuring... looking for balance..
