I love that so many in the world have been made happy, finally, by something that happened in the United States of America!!

For me this feels like Christmas morning, Thanksgiving and Easter all wrapped into one celebration: birth, thankfulness and death and resurrection! And I'm not religious. :)

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

~Emily Dickinson

i am glad the world feels relief, however, i am sore with what i learned/saw getting here...

Hope has its way though of creeping in....lets see what really is real!

I love your sunrise (and my new router)!

In the Land Downunder we too have been hoping with bated breath. There certainly is hope now that the new year will bring about some necessary changes, however, the proof of the pudding is yet to come.

Sorry I havn't been around lately, been chasing this jolly Trojan horse, lassooing and dispatching him firmly to the salaughter house
or wood pile as the case may be.

In this world of uncertainty.. a glimmer... capturing the soul of hope... I think strength can grow in all of us...

That little seed makes me happy.

suspect the presidency of the USA is a bit of a poisoned chalice but am wishing Barack Obama every success...

President Obama has challenges that not many presidents have faced. Not only is he of African/American roots; he faces the wars and meltdown of the economy. I pray that he works his term the same way as his champaign. This will ultimately solve american racism. At least I can hope.

In the game of life, hope trumps fear every time.

It still makes me cry, a week later. America feels like home again after eight difficult years. Happy day.
