Love, all powerful, all embracing...I send to you and your loved ones. My poor old Prof. forgot all about it. The poor man is coping with cooking and household chores with me out of the equasion as well as entertaining his baby brother from Texas. On top of all that he is swinging a pick and crow bar in the heat to enlarge the hole in the embankment where a concrete shelter will go to protect us in any eventuality. Roses somehow were not so important today.

Love to you Wildpic... I love your blog..

Arija... That is a very smart thing for your Prof. to do, survival drives us on... I certainly hope you are not obliged to use it... although the thought of it being there would give one a sense of safety... I think of you everyday!

Thank you Ruth and the same to you my dear!!

Thanks Shayla, they are going into the tumbler as I speak... then to be antiqued, sorted, earwires added ....we like to use these winter months preparing work ahead.. then I can steal hours in the summer to tend the garden...

Hugs to you too Anet and a big one for Noah, the little cutie!!

Hearts full of love to you,Sharon
... Hope Larry is feeling back to normal... that was scary!

Every year some one has to tell me who this Valentine chapee was, must've been some nice guy and i keep forgetting and i ask again. i think he was suffering from perpetual cold and running nose caused by extraordinary secretion of some chemical or enzyme in his brain. This chemical gets activated in all our brains. No i don't have a runny nose today Gwen.
Name of that enzyme is Love.

Gwen Buchanan said...

Thanks Annette, make sure you give a big hug to Rowan from my pups and me!!!

Delphine, I noticed your Beatles lyrics right off.. and thought hey way across the waves we were thinking of the same group of souls at the time.. I don't know why my blogger posts time and dates of some unknown nature as I had posted mine at almost the same time as yours.. Fun, huh??
Happy Love Day!!

Rauf you silly!! kind of nice to have at least one day of the year that celebrates LOVE though huh?.. too bad it wasn't every day.. so when we meet each other our greetings could be "Good Love Day to You"... that would start each morning off much better!!!

Happy Valentines Day, Gwen.

You've been posting a lot of great stuff lately - my wife peruses your site and calls me over to see some of her favorites.

I love the boot print on the porch pic in your 'loss' post. There is something calm and serene about that scene, yet you can almost feel the warmth of the human who has just passed through the cold, still air on that winter's day.

The snowflake design left by that last step before entering the house just rounds out a perfect shot.

Hi I just read your comment on Chris' Shady grove, about her "SOap Box" I really appreciate your comment, and have often wondered how trade in the US affects Canada. I would love to learn more about Canada, and would love to converse with you on this again sometime.

BLACK AND WHITE said...

Thank you for these hearts!

Gwen Buchanan said...

Hi Dawnkristine, I really appreciate your dropping in and acknowledging my comment... I would love to talk to you too... Thank you for reading my comment.. Discussion is Good!!

Basically we are the sadly forgotten 51st State of the union... We have more trade with each another than with any other countries.. We are also basically one and the same culture, we just have more snow... Our economy is hurting as equally bad as the United States... and as are most of all the other countries in the world.. Time for us all to help each other...
*********************
for anyone wondering... my comment that we are referring to is below..

Gwen Buchanan has left a new comment on the post "Pardon My Soapbox":

I just wanted to add that even though I am from Canada , it is necessary for us to buy all of our jewelry supplies from the States... There is just not enough supplies up here at any descent prices... We have been doing so since 1994.. We need NAFTA or we couldn't be in business... We support The States business... I hope the States still support us... No one lives in a vacuum...

I think we all have to help support each other no matter what country we live in.. we are all in this mess together... One World... ... we are all hungry and being too protectionist won't help anyone in the long run.. I think we should remember "United we Stand, and Divided We Fall" ...

I hope no one takes this as offensive but this crisis was not started by not purchasing from each other.. it was because of the insane greed on Wall Street... the Banks creating the housing crisis and Bush's War... they are making everyone become too guarded and creating fear upon each other who used to be friends.. lets still be friends.. we never changed.....

I am an environmentalist and believe in giving great care to the earth, reusing, recycling and not wasting ever... eco-friendly all the way... take care of our world but take care of each other no matter what country we live in... please...

Sorry I'm 10 days late...what a lovely group of hearts! I thought it was a trivet at first. It would make a lovely one!

My wife and I celebrated our first Valentines Day since we fell in love last May, after 35 years of apathetic marriage. Neither of us expected to see love while we lived, but I guess miracles happen!

On top of that, our daughter & son-in-law asked us to share their 2nd Valentines Day. Astonishing! Fun!

Gwen Buchanan said...

Hey you are never too late for Love Louie!!!

So you took my suggestion about hugging somebody... Smart Man!!!

Thanks for visiting me Gwen. Love reading your blog - we seem to have many of the same interests. I love your part of the world and have spent a wonderful holiday crossing the Bay of Fundy and staying in St John - and then going on to Anne of Green Gables country - absolutely magic. The sea fog in the Bay of Fundy was amazing.

Gwen Buchanan said...

It was a joy to visit you, Weaver of Grass!! I love your countryside photographs and stories... You have a wonderful way of telling a story...
have you ever thought of publishing a book of these stories?

so nice to hear that You are familiar with the Bay of Fundy...
You get around, don't you?!!
