Talking of senses, that is one deep and meaningful as well as beautiful photo!

Am I allowed to be jealous of your ever changing view and ability to capture it on film for each of us to enjoy? Awesome!

Interesting point Gwen - shall really have to think about it though. I love the view - is it taken from your house? Oh how exciting it must be to live so near to such a beautiful Bay of Fundy. I seem to think that somewhere near where you live there is a river where at high tide there is a kind of contrary current flows so that where tide and river meet there is a spectacular display of water.

Lovely picture and telling quote.

He also said "We are what we repeatedly do". Thank you for repeatedly showing us the beauty of your surroundings.

Well that makes prefect sense!
Beautiful photo!
When Caleb was little he saw some sun rays like this and said
"Mom, I see God."
Is it warming up there yet?

Thank you Seth, You must see some amazing sunbursts on the river in New York.

Arija, I wish I had time to post every morning here...

Awe Shelley, Aren't you cute!!!

Weaver, yes this was taken from the front verandah.. I never imagined how extravagantly the ocean and the sun played till we moved here...
and you are so right, you know your geography!... This is called the Reversing Falls... it is the Saint John River in the city by the same mame... it is quite a tourist attraction...but you have to time it quite precisely to see the full effect depending on the moon...

Thank You Dave, I know you would fall in love with this Fundy Bay in real life......

Bill, The changes in the atmosphere are spellbinding to me.. what am I to do??

Hi Anet, That is the sweetest thing I ever heard!!!
What adorable kids you have and are just like you!!
...and I am so happy to say that it was quite warm today... still lots of snow tho....

Pamela you sense that too!!

Thanks Rebecca, I really do count my blessings every single day.. There is no ignoring it... this beauty never goes quietly into the night...

Thanks so much Acornmoon.... I am totally blown away by Schiele...

that photo definitely makes me realize that my intellect is no match for my senses!

Ohhhh Gwen ... this is one of my most favourite natural phenomenons ... when the sun does that thing...& shines through the clouds in rays like that! Second only to a rainbow in naural awesomeness! Truly makes me think of God shining on us! Thanks for catching it.

Janice Thomson said...

An utterly divine shot Gwen.

Gwen Buchanan said...

Oh Don, with the store of knowledge you have.... your senses and your intellect are right up there with the scholars!!!

Thanks Marie.. what a great likening... It's like magic when it happens isn't it?

Herhimnbryn and Janice,thankyou!

Perhaps that is why babies are so beautiful in every sense of the word-- beacause intellect hasn't kicked in yet! Striking photograph Gwen.

Gwen Buchanan said...

Thanks Chris, Rebecca and Delphine, I probably post too many sunrises, but I feel each one is a moment in time never to be repeated... a day born new....
.... and oh my yes, Babies are the most precious little sponges...

Gwen Buchanan said...

Robyn, yes worth waiting for...

Oh Twisted Sister, this big ol Bay of Fundy out front? no swimming for me.... its too cold.. stays just above freezing all year round.... can wade in it in the shallows on a real warm summer day till you go numb though... true...
