Nature in her fine green gown.
Photographs taken mid-June up on the red rock bluff ...
I've taken similar pictures before but every year nature has its own special ways of displaying itself... its own patterns... its new growth... and I can't resist..
** This part of the earth has special qualities that touch the soul.**

Ferns, lilacs, weathered chair, and above all green. You've got it all friend.
To new growth. As I sit here listening to the rain splashing on the tin roof, I remember sitting on your lovely porch one evening during the lightening storm. I am thankful for the 'simple' things and am always in aww of the views/grounds from your place and the company within. Take care my Seaside friend.
Wonderful photos, here it is mid winter, although we have mild winters it is cold and damp. but this morning a cold clear sky, just waiting to be able to get out and about again.
Yummy garden and view :)
Stunning pictures. I especially love the one with the crow, but they are all so beautiful.
So so beautiful, Gwen.. It's a wonder you ever come off of your mountain.. smile..
Enjoy the rain..
It's a great time to be alive in the Maritimes and your pictures show why. Really lovely, Gwen.
Thanks Shelley and Faye... quite the rain storm we had in the last 24 hours. I think we have had enough to fill all the aquifers for the whole year now.
Guillaume, I wish I could have got a shot of the Sparrow dive-bombing the Catbird at the birdbath today.
Terra and Cuidado, so many shades of green that this time of year brings... so much growth... so many shapes.
Valerianna, your lush forest setting inspired me.
Penny, I hope you are feeling better.
'...every year nature has its own special ways of displaying itself'. I know exactly what you mean. And somehow I think that those who experience a long hard winter, appreciate the beauty that nature provides in the next three seasons even more. Thank you for sharing such gorgeous pictures yet again. It is always a pleasure to revel in them from the other end of the world.
The fourth picture from the bottom, are those flowers Orchids?
Good eyes Priya! Yes they are the Lady's Slipper Orchid. This is the first time we saw them blooming at this location, we almost couldn't believe it. They are so rare. I wish I saw them when they first came into flower as the color would have been much brighter.
Just lovely, Gwen. What a stunningly beautiful place to live......
Thank you Rachel, Fog has been drifting in and out all day. If I wait 5 minutes I'm sure it will change. Cheers!
Absolutely beautiful Gwen...... what an amazing place to live....
LOVING all the lush greenery and flowers...*SWOON*... nothing like high summer! :o) Happy Days, Gwen ((HUGS))
What can I say--absolutely beautiful: wish I were there!
Love your ferns, and see you have cranebill: one of my favorites (I like rock-gardeny flowers).
Happy Canada Day!
This is probably a repetitive statement but WOW! It's all so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your world with us!
Thank you Dixie. It is quite a quiet world except for the birds singing and the breeze going through the leaves and branches.
Wonderful photos displaying the most beautiful show of them all, Nature ! Wish you a great summer!
Utterly beautiful your shangri la !
Very inviting. Sighhhh ....I would love to sit in the adirondack chair on that hillside. What a view!
Jane, Thank you, the best summer to you too.
Heron's View, she (nature) does it all by herself.
Robyn, I'll find us some long cool drinks and be waiting for you there!
Beautiful photos. Achingly lovely. I know you have it for sale, but really how could you leave such a place?
Thank you Carol, It will always remain in my heart and soul.
Laura, the Ferns are so fragrant, and the Cranesbill is blooming amazingly this year. I notice this in many of the flowering plants this year.
Oh Gwen, what an amazing place you have. Looking out on the water past the beautiful stone wall, the ferns, geranium, lilac, Siberian iris?, hosta and rose of sharon... oh and the evergreens! It is so peaceful looking and glorious. I envy you!
Jeri, I shake my head sometimes to think that we live this close to Nature...many times we just sculpt or admire what she has already done.
