*** 2018 - The SABBATICAL - oh my, the Excitement ***
After 25 years of creating our whimsical Desideratum Art Jewelry, we are taking a Sabbatical. Yes, indeed... we have waited a long time for this. Freedom to explore and experiment with abandon and to indulge ourselves in the many fields of creativity that have been simmering away on the back burner.
John will be centering himself in his Painting studio... Oil painting to be specific. I will have my hands in sheep fleece, textiles, drawing and gardening... and we will occasionally make some jewelry pieces in limited and one-of designs, of course. The prospect of the coming year is Exhilarating to say the least. Things will be humming here.
Thank You so very much to Everyone who have followed our work all these years, Shop owners and Individuals... we dearly appreciate it... we hope to have lots more things to show you in this next chapter of our lives.
Cheers and Salutations to the New Year to All,
Gwen Buchanan and John Ackerson

The running hen is a hoot!
Hey Thanks John... my John will love to hear that!! cheers
What a duo! There is some fabulous work here; I especially love the mysterious lady in black. It is so nice to JUST CREATE, without the pressure of deadlines and openings and shows, etc. I make my best work when I have the time and freedom to do it out of love, rather than necessity.Cant' wait to see what wonderful things you get on with, already in love with your beautiful yarn!
Thanks so much Jeri, this means a lot... it is such a thrill to think of something and to do it. to just draw on the imagination, as you know. Life is a precious gift. I can't wait to see your creativity too... it is always a true inspiration!!
Just wondering - do you two ever sleep? I'm excited for you about your "sabbatical", which actually seems like it amounts to "working harder than ever"! Enjoy!
Haha Sharmon... this "work" is All Play... Loving it!!!
