Buried Treasure

Discovered a rather interesting artifact when we were digging out an old tree stump at the edge of the barn...

a worn and corroded axe head with the tree root growing right through axe-handle hole... so cool... axe head is 6" x 3 3/4" x 1 3/4"...

think I'll keep it like this and hang it on the wall

kind of fair play, as I can only imagine how many trees that axe took down and then a tree took it back

That is a great find! I love how rustic it looks. For a moment, I thought it was a hammer and immediately thought of Mjiolnir.

We find artifacts like that periodically on our land as well, friend Gwen … Anything from native spear heads to 16 end antlers to silver coins. This is sacred land for sure. Love, cat.
