Hot Chocolate and a Spoon

Take some Cocoa... add some sweet... blend it with some milk...
Stir in some big marshmallows... Now be careful... it is Hot!

Steaming... Thick... Delicious... ....Velvety on the tongue
Drink it...slowly....... Take your...time....... Enjoy it...till its done...

...Sip it... by yourself.... or with a friend...

...A creamy mustache in the end...

...Warmth enfolds the guilty pleasure...

8" x 10" oil on canvas... details of the original that I had fun painting last year

Hi Gwen - I sat down at the computer- read your post and decided on hot chocolate instead of tea tonight - great. Your cup and spoon is really great. You had some great input on Jung's words. They ring true after all this time. I love how you post these links to our artistic past. Best, Bill

Hey Bill, I am so flattered you decided to have some Hot Chocolate tonight!! That makes me smile!!

I am so enjoying the interaction of others' thoughts and ideas... people sharing what is on their minds... inquisitive thinkers that can wrap their mind around ideas... Love it!!
I am so glad I found this world!!
Thank you for adding your thoughts too, gwen

One of my students went to San Francisco for Spring Break and he brought me some Ghiradelli (sp) cocoa. I haven't tried it yet, but I think I'll open your excellent painting into a window and have a cup.

Sandy, I was thinking of you and your spoon blog and how interesting a simple implement such as a spoon really is... We use one everyday...

Ruth, one of my other simple pleasures is gazing yearningly at your sweet photos of Dons little chicks... How did you ever get them to stay still?

Oh Kathi, I was looking for that kind of chocolate the last time I went for groceries, but it was all gone. maybe I'll have better luck next time!

Don you are so lucky to have such thoughtful students!!!

I raise a cop of cocoa to you all! thanks for coming over!!!

It's the shock factor, Gwen. When Don brings them outside to a little fenced area, or into the house in my makeshift studio, they are stunned at the new surroundings. I use that window of time and snap away. One little guy last night (girl, I guess -- where is Sharon when I need her??) wanted to tear across the carpet, and Don had to keep plopping her back on the photo board.

Thank you Jazz,Stacey and shellmo, really glad you took the time to drop by. All the best, gwen

Ruth, Still think you are a pretty fast mover when it comes to snapping shots... half the time , when I finally get the dials figured out and the camera focused in the right direction the subject is long gone!!
