Lovely, lovely, lovely..I hasten to comment. Is that gothic-arch
window in your bedroom? How wonderful to be alive on such a morn, especially when you recognize
it for what it offers.

Sorry for my absence, skywatch has been taking up a little too much time. Finally put a new post on minutes ago.

Your world is so beautiful!...

What a glorious greeting to start the day. I hope the rest of your day contains as much peace and beauty.

Did you take the pics while waiting for tea to brew? What kind did you drink?

Very nice photos, beautiful place...

The sun, the morning, the mist/fog - they are enough to melt me. But your photos of them - each one - unique and perfect - are finishing the job. I'm a liquid puddle!

(I can picture you running around to get all these perspectives too.)

This is an all time favorite post I think. Wow.

Arija, How are you? This Gothic window is in the bathroom attached to our bedroom, it has a little window seat...
Your foggy morning shots and sky photos really thrilled me.. Thank you...

Chris... we sent the most of the afternoon at the beach with my 3 grandchildren... they had great fun eating pebbles and covering the blanket with buckets of sand.. ah... summer and babies!!!

Mansuetude, the previous mornings had been foggy at day break so this day just called out ... Come on Out!

Hi Don, this morning I was waiting for the coffee to brew... I think it was called "rainforest" organic.. hard to know if it really was but it tasted good!

Gwen Buchanan said...

Thank you, Ruth, I always love your early morning shots ...
I was having fun pointing the camera right towards the sun just to see what the effect would be... I'm glad you could relate to them..

Hi Mamashift, That would be wonderful.. I know you would find it restful and that is just what you need.. some pampering!!

Oh Thanks Sandy, I had all the pictures on the posting when I noticed they didn't enlarge enough... so I downloaded them again in a bigger size so you could get more of the way it really felt...

Oh Annette, I can almost taste your Apple Tart... My mouth is watering! We'd love some...

Thank you Corine, Mornings are sort of like Christmas.. we never know what to expect but we wait with anticipation...

Gwen Buchanan said...

Oh yes it was, Anet..
I would have loved if you had come along with me... It was so still and the birds were singing...

Hi Sharon, It sort of looks like a bird doesn't it.. but it is a leaf of an Arrowhead plant that sits high up on a nearby cabinet... You are very observant though... Thanks

Hello gwen, lovely to see your blog for the first time. How beautiful it is. I can't stop reading all the entries! The photos from today are quite stunning. I love taking photos too, but we rarely get a dawn such as that.

I'll be back,
Gina

Hi again Gwen, thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your kind comments. My camera isn't really rainproof but it has a sort of sticking out shield on the front which does help if it rains. I usually walk with it under my coat and nip it out for a shot!

Hope you call again,

Gina
PS Birthday 5th Sept eh? Must have some things in common!

Oh Gwen, I felt I was with you the whole way, following the dawn sun...captivating twilight images and beautiful poetic words to match...You live in a beautiful place...so heavenly.

Hi Gina, So nice to meet you and glad you came this morning when the light was so special...ah... another Virgo, your right I'm sure we have lots in common!!!
I'll be back to walk down some of your new paths...

Thanks Lynne!! I think I should clean that arched window today!!!

Hi Jo, Thanks so much for coming along on my early morning walk...Nature captivates doesn't it?

Today was another foggy start of the day which is typical for this time of year.. They are magical too but I guess we all like a change.

Gwen - I too was fortunate enough to see this day's welcome from my window. St. Martins has always a beautiful view no matter the weather, but this was exceptional.

Thank you for sharing with us the world through your creative and artistic eyes(camera).

Until see meet again my friend. Have a great one.

Gwen Buchanan said...

Thank you, Denise we feel so lucky... everyday!

To another early riser!!! You are so right Shelley .. we come here once and it stays with us forever.

The window beautifully frames the magic of a sunrise.... beautiful.

Gwen Buchanan said...

Thanks, Dada, But I must admit I'm jealous of your Mediterranean climate!!

Jazz and Shicat, It is the first place I look out everyday..

Herhimnbryn, Funny you should say that.. as that is how we felt when we first found this bluff-top.. it always felt like we were going to be lifted right up into the sky.

Yes Robyn, one of the best things about getting up early.. is observing in silence the beauty of the day!!

Thank-you, Serena, I was a NightOwl when I was young, now I want to be an Early Bird, too.. Who needs sleep anyway?.. I think I need feathers!
