2013 Desideratum Art Jewelry

This year the Bead People are in our line od designs and they demanded to be on the cover of the new catalog....  Attitude!
THIS is Where they made their first appearance on my blog.

Spring may have been long in coming this year but that doesn't mean that things haven't been bubbling and boiling below the surface, behind the scenes and in the studio...

Copper Twisted Leaf

oh yes, it happens every year...
long hours of being sequestered have been involved...

Copper Twisted Triangle

... long days of  being in the studio working and only leaving for food and sleep...
 that's how we work...
Kind of an obsession, till we get it all pulled together.
We make a few of each design till be have them where we like them.

Sterling Silver Hoops with Drops

IDEAS were sketched, mulled over, bent, twisted, heated up, born and come to life, photos taken, adjusted, imported into Word, arranged and arranged and arranged...
 and finally Finalized.

Copper Ocean Swirl (I Love these)

Yay!  Our  Desideratum Art Jewelry Catalog  has been completed for another year.

Sterling Silver Hoops with Drops

It must be what a leaf or a flower feels like when it finally bursts through the soil towards the warmth of sunshine, air and light....  yes, indeed, I do believe
 I feel like Spring!

We'll be in the studio making more of everything, now that we have the designs nailed down.

Happy Spring, Everybody!!!

Hey Shelley, it was gorgeous out here today. Spent the afternoon outside in the yard.. perfect day for it. Got some sun and some work done.

Thank you Priya, I'm polishing little People at the moment... have them about 1/2 done... no rest for the wicked!!

Thanks Jane, We are always happy when we have made the major decisions for the year (at least for the catalog) almost feel like celebrating.

I wish it felt like Spring here. But no, it feels like March.

Gwen Buchanan said...

oh Guillaume, just a couple days and we will be rid of March.

okay ...I'll be happy that you have spring.... there are still piles of snow here in the shady areas...and even though it has been getting up to +10C in the daytime... it is still cool at night and we have frosty morns....

It'll be quite a while til I can play out in the yard... it is still frozen, dirty and when it totally thaws...it'll be too muddy for another week or two....ick...

I'll just stay in and do some more stitching til I can get out and get my hands dirty or swing a golf club ....

love all the little people.....

Hi Vee, It's raining today and the fog has drifted in...kind of romantic... Won't be long before you'll be out in the garden.

Thanks Tracy, I'm still busy in the studio today.. audio books are keeping me company.

Thanks so much, Robyn and Dixiebelle, I have a lot of fun twisting them into people with lots of character. They may be little but they have big personalities. Cheers!

Thanks everso for stopping by my blog! Vacation? Oh.. I so wish my grandparents had left their estate to me instead of my aunt...because I would have been on permanent vacation at the Mermaids Haven! I so loved that place, having watched you build it and bring it to life.

My mom was a little miffed that we didn't want to spend our vacation at her (while lovely) place on the Rogue River, but we just wanted to be together without all the 'family ghosts' around...

Your lovely cat/bird/fish earrings are going on vacation with me too!

Thanks Sharmon, I'm really pleased with them.so far they have been popular... I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hey there Teri, You know we really enjoyed turning that old structure into a usable funky place to live. I really like seeing what can be done with things that other people discard and/or decide they don't want anymore cause it seemed too far gone. the challenge is exciting.
