Another simple little pen & ink Crow, my most favourite bird again. This is an old scruffy fella that hangs around the yard, cleaning up anything the dogs leave behind. Aren't scavenger's great.
I am working on a series of these little guys, exploring different medias but keeping most of them on the miniature side.

Hi Gwen : I'll be watching your blog grow, I wanted to keep on reading...I had a pet crow as a child, climbed up a mile high spruce to kidnap one of the babies out of a nest. Intelligent and wonderful birds except when they are yanking my corn seedlings out of the garden, thieving bastards!

Thanks Kathi, You are going to keep me on my toes... great!
You are so lucky to have had a crow for a pet. I read about a fellow that had one for 30 years. can you believe it? It was his best friend. It went everywhere with him. Could say about 100 words/phrases & most of them at the appropriate time. He used to take the crow with him when he went on dates with girls & the crow would always try to steal their ribbons, barrettes or earrings. If the girls made a fuss & didn't like the crow, then the fellow wouldn't go out with them again. He said he wanted an unfussy girl that liked nature.
I also had a pet crow as a teenager. It could mimic the telephone ringing perfectly and also running taps and dogs barking.
robyn, it would be a dream to have a pet crow!
