Happy 2020 Everybody

After we put our new years's apple pies together, my son, Max the tattoo artist, and I, started playing with the remaining dough and did a bit of decorating.

I liked Max's "Crow" pie  the best...

But they both tasted super delicious.

The best of the new year to everyone... Time moves too fast so make yours exciting and special !!!

Oh and I forgot to say: I love the crow pie. In fact, I might blog about crows in the coming days myself.

The very best to everyone of you, Guillaume, Jaz, Cat, Rain, you guys are super!!! I was watching a lone crow today sitting up in the tallest Aspen tree as he watched me clearing snow off the decks.. it has a favourite limb and is there every morning at 8 am.

Hi Gwen, please don't mind the odd comment below -- just itchy fingers and wandering mind wishing to type, check in and say hello.

How did the sweater (eons ago) turn out for you? No need to answer! As I don't currently, spin, knit or weave or much of anything else in that vein... But have recently learned of how to make a loom out of cardboard -- which I am thinking to try upcoming because it sounds like a great idea! Especially to use old fabric scrap for solutions to furniture wearing out (before it's time) & other... And because it reminds me of a "knitting jenny" device made as a youngster that I thoroughly enjoyed winding yarn around and making scarfs and what not with. Diagnosed "fumble fingers" at an early age, I still do not knit. And admire and envy those who do?

Mostly I'm just commenting to say "hi" and I hope it goes well for you and yours. Plus, I do so enjoy just seeing creativity in pie! ("Pie" is a word I especially like. I grew up on homegrown/homemade pie of all types. And so I dream of pie. And it's contents and the concept it parlays for contentedness... Tho' don't make it today despite all my years of doing so. Not given up on, mind you -- just will have resume at another date.)

OK, a visit to your blog and I do see, yes, you continue to inspire. But I may not live up to it. Which reminds me -- another visit to find historical "Green Valley" series would be great... Wales? Simply found because of side links in your blog and for me it seemed a good fit. Never mind! I'm just rambling on. Signing off and stopping now. Wishing you all the best in the new year ahead. Keep on keeping on.

Hey there Wildside, I read your writing and realized I had not posted about the handspun cardigan project and thought I should finish what I started. I pull this sweater off and on all day long depending on how the fire is burning... makes a great layer when out walking too. it has encouraged me to try another, one of these days... haven't a plan for that yet.
Your loom project sounds like it will be a fun undertaking, ... nice to have a challenge for the brain and so pleasant to see what we can create from basically nothing.
